Green Day -- American Idiot
Front: Green Day -- American Idiot
Back: Nothing
Yeah, yeah. I know. Green Day is all over the radio. They play that "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" song all the time. And they play their other singles a lot. And the kids like 'em. And they sell their t-shirts at Hot Topic. And blah blah blah. Nowadays, it's common for people to not like bands if they are popular. Shit, I've liked Green Day since they originally became popular, and I liked them when they weren't popular for their second album, and I liked them when they were popular again, and I liked them when they weren't popular a second time, and I still like them now that they're popular again.
What you've gotta understand is that I've liked Green Day for a long time. I still have the receipt from when I bought their first major record, "Dookie". The receipt is dated 07/24/94. Jesus, that's over 10 years ago. Wow, I feel old right now.
And no matter how much they've been played recently, I firmly believe that their album "American Idiot" is one of the defining albums of the last 10 years.

Aaron, you know I love you, but I am a little concerned about this t-shirt thing. Are you feelin' ok? Bruce and I are afraid you've lost it. But, then again, Bruce and I spend Sunday mornings drinking coffee and watching Spongebob cartoon marathons so we should not throw stones! (We are watching one now and Patric just said, "Don't touch me, I'm sterile!".) By the way, I totally agree with you and I have loved everything Greenday has done, and every album is better than the one before. Screw public opinion, we will do what we want!
Did you get a chance to download Dean Grey's American Edit when it was out? Want me to make you a copy if you didn't?
